The Hypermax  BT  Thermo  is  the largest-  in  – class , next- generation canister filter . The Hypermax BT Thermo ensures crystal-clear water and stable conditions for fish and plants to thrive. Its enormous 31-liter filter capacity and 16 liters of filter media space make it ideal for large aquariums ranging from 200 to 1500 liters. 

High filtration efficiency is ensured by a modern, energy-efficient motor with a maximum capacity of 4500 l/h (2400 l/h with media). Even at the highest speed, power consumption does not exceed 36 W, and programmable pump operation allows for adjusting filtration intensity to the needs of a specific tank. 

Hypermax BT Thermo operates quietly – from 24 to 44 dB – so it is also a great choice for rooms where acoustic comfort is important.

The most important feature of the Hypermax BT Thermo is its two built-in electronic heaters with a total power of 300 W. These heaters allow you to maintain the appropriate water temperature without the need to install additional heaters inside the aquarium. 

The heaters operate within a range of 20-33°C, allowing you to conveniently adjust the temperature to the requirements of fish, plants, and the entire ecosystem. This is a practical and aesthetically pleasing solution – less equipment in the tank means greater freedom of arrangement and a more natural-looking aquarium.

The filter is controlled intuitively – via the touchscreen on the head of the device or remotely via the Aquael BT app. You can regulate the water flow, control the temperature, and conveniently manage the device from your phone.

The Aquael BT app is one way to control the Hypermax BT Thermo filter. It offers a variety of options and is convenient to use. No need to open the cabinet or remove the filter! With the app, you can constantly monitor filter performance, view the current temperature, or secure settings with a PIN code to prevent accidental configuration changes. 

Four flow modes   

Hypermax BT Thermo offers four flow modes: 

• constant 

• impulsive 

• sinusoidal 

• interrupted 

This allows you to tailor the circulation to your aquarium’s needs – from a calm and steady flow to a more dynamic water movement. Furthermore, the length of individual sequences can be precisely adjusted by percentage, creating countless combinations. Furthermore, you can define the change time – the undulations – from 1 to 60 seconds. 

This solution allows for better reproduction of the natural conditions of the aquatic environment and the creation of conditions precisely tailored to the given tank and stocking. 

Day&Night  –  natural rhythm  in  the aquarium  

The Day&Night function allows you to set a lower flow rate and temperature for nighttime, so that aquarium conditions more closely resemble the natural day-night rhythm. Changes occur gradually, without sudden spikes, helping to reduce fish stress. 

As darkness falls in open waters, the water temperature drops and the waves diminish – the night mode in the Hypermax BT Thermo filter allows you to bring the conditions in your aquarium closer to those known from nature. 

Feeding function  

The Hypermax BT Thermo features an adjustable feeding schedule. When activated, the filter automatically reduces its output, preventing food from being immediately dispersed by the strong water flow. A maximum of four meals per day can be scheduled. 

Heating  built  into  the filter 

Built-in heating eliminates the need to install heaters directly in the aquarium. This allows the tank’s interior to remain clear, aesthetically pleasing, and uncluttered, allowing for uninterrupted views of the underwater environment. This is especially important in large decorative aquariums, planted aquariums, and open-air settings, where every technical element impacts the final visual effect. 

You can set day and night temperatures in the app, where you can also check the current water temperature. Heating history can be viewed on a clear graph.

Double ball valve system 

When servicing a filter, one of the most important steps is safely disconnecting the hoses. The Hypermax BT Thermo features a dual ball valve system that reduces the risk of uncontrolled water leakage. This solution increases ease of use and allows for stress-free filter cleaning without creating a mess around the aquarium. 

Automatic filter priming 

Starting the filter is quick and easy. The self-priming system allows you to quickly fill the device with aquarium water without having to manually siphon water. This is one of the features that truly simplifies daily use of a large canister filter. 

Slightly move the bucket 

Integrated wheels make it easy to move the filter, even when it’s already filled with water and media. This is a practical feature you’ll appreciate during installation, servicing, and cleaning. 

Prefilter 

The 1.5-liter pre-filter built into the lid effectively traps larger contaminants before they reach the main filter baskets. This allows the filter to last longer without the need for complete cleaning. 

Cleaning the pre-filter is quick and convenient – just remove the sponge, rinse it under running water and place it back in the device. 

A set of 2 inlet hoses and 2 outlet hoses ensures proper water circulation throughout the aquarium, which effectively prevents the formation of dead zones. 

Great  freedom in media configuration   

The Hypermax BT Thermo has 4 filter baskets, and the capacity of a single basket is 3.6 liters. The filter is factory-equipped with mechanical media, while the remaining baskets can be added according to the needs of a specific aquarium. 

The user has ample space for biological, chemical, or specialized media. This allows the filtration configuration to be adapted to both planted aquariums and tanks with a large fish population.
