StressGuard™
StressGuard™ is the premium slime coat protection product.
It reduces stress and ammonia toxicity whenever handling or transporting fish.
It binds to exposed proteins in wounds to promote healing and reduce the risk of primary and secondary infections.
StressGuard™ is compatible with all medications except those that are copper-based.
It is not amine-based and will not interfere with the regeneration of Purigen® or HyperSorb™.
Unlike competing “slime coat” products, it does not coat resins or clog filtration systems.
Why It’s Different
What makes StressGuard™ so effective at healing is its inclusion of protein-active colloids.
These colloids actively seek out wounds, abrasions, or areas with exposed proteins and bind to them,
helping to deliver the disinfectant directly and initiate the healing process.
This protein-active colloid also functions like a liquid bandage, offering protective coverage over abrasions.
Many similar products are acidic and can be harmful when added to confined environments such as transport bags.
StressGuard™ has a neutral pH of 7.0 and will not affect aquarium pH, even at high doses.
There are no other products on the market that match the effectiveness of StressGuard™.
Directions
Use ½ – 1 capful (2.5 – 5 mL) for every 40 L (10 gallons*) daily
until signs of stress have diminished or healing is complete.
The dose may be safely doubled if necessary.
