PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Effective water filtration is the primary concern of all aquarium owners. Bioceramax Pro 600 is a unique cartridge designed for biological water filtration in freshwater and marine aquariums, paludariums, aquaterraria and terrarium pools. It is in the form of cylinders made of porous ceramic material, which provides a very large filtration area – 600 m2.

How does Bioceramax Pro 600 work?

On the inner surface of the pores of Bioceramax Pro 600 Rollers placed in the aquarium Filter, strains of beneficial nitrifying bacteria from the Nitrosomonas and Nitrospira genera Settle over time. These microorganisms use in their life processes metabolic products toxic to fish: a mmonia (Nitrosomonas) and nitrites (Nitrospira). Nitrifying bacteria oxidize a mmonia and nitrites to form nitrates, which are much safer for aquarium inhabitants.

How to use Bioceramax Pro 600?

Bioceramax Pro 600 is i mmediately ready to use and requires no rinsing or other additional steps. Pour the contents of the package into the Filter basket or Filter chamber. For optimal application results, it is recommended to place the Bioceramax Pro 600 cartridge after the mechanical filtration cartridges and before the chemical filtration cartridges. One pack, or 1 liter of Bioceramax Pro 600 is recommended for AquaEL Filters UNIMAX 150, UNIMAX 250, MIDIKANI 800, MiniKANI 80, MiniKANI 120, ASAP and Versamax. For other Filters, one pack is recommended for an aquarium of about 250 liters in capacity.

For optimal results, it is recommended to replace about 1/3 of the cartridge with a new one once every 6-12 months. When cleaning the Filter, the cartridge should be rinsed in water drained from the aquarium. The Bioceramax Pro 600 cartridge should not be washed in running tap water to avoid sterilization.
